Guardians of tradition and the taste of authentic dishes
Restaurant MM has a gastronomic tradition spanning over 30 years and is one of the most recognizable places in Mostar when it comes to gastronomy and catering.
We are located in the very center of the city, on Mostarskog bataljona Street, on the site of the former Korzo, across from the Hotel Bristol (approx. 500 meters from the Old Bridge).
We are a kind of guardians of the memory of traditional dishes that were prepared in this region. We cherish old, almost forgotten, recipes that all generations of our guests enjoy.
Our enthusiastic spirit in the kitchen does not allow us to stop, so we always discover and try to be equally in the past and in the future. Many delicious delicacies on our tables are inspired by modern cuisine in which there are no boundaries.
We prepare all dishes with special care, and we are especially proud of our own fruit and vegetable cultivation in our Green Oasis. We use all valuable and high-quality ingredients that we produce in the preparation of meals for our guests. Cultivation is carried out in accordance with the Global Gap standard.
How it all began?
Back in the 1980s, our story began with the restaurant "ADA", which continued to operate under that name until the 90s. After that, the story continues with the restaurant "La Meshta" in the then EUFOR NATO base and the restaurant "DADO", which was opened in the period from 1996 to 2011. The business of the restaurant La Meshta lasted for 8 years (from 2000 to 2008), where, according to our references, we were the only ones in the region to receive a license to open a civilian restaurant. We are especially proud that they met all the criteria and standards that were set before us. It is worth noting that the base then had about 6,000 soldiers. In 2000, we opened a restaurant, a brand that still lives today under the name "Restaurant MM".
During the period of the existence of the restaurant MM, more precisely since 2009, we also opened the restaurant "4A" (canteen) at the Džemal Bijedić University in the immediate vicinity of the Faculty of Economics. A few years ago, in 2019, inspired by the idea of healthy food and organic farming, we entered into the business venture ranch “Zelena Oaza”, and we complete our whole story with a company called MM d.o.o. Mostar. Organic fruit and vegetable farming is marked by the Global GAB standard, and we use the highest quality ingredients in the preparation of all our specialties and delicacies. As part of the restaurant, in the sales area, we have a healthy corner where our guests can buy fresh products from the ranch, in small and limited quantities.
The interior of Restaurant MM consists of two rooms, is fully air-conditioned and can host 60-80 guests. On the ground floor of the restaurant, and the picture that first greets the guest, is a store of our specialties that guests can see, try and enjoy.
The restaurant also has the option of food delivery in the area of Mostar.
Restaurant MM is not just a place to eat – it is a place to enjoy, socialize and come back. For years, we have been the first choice of many Mostar residents and guests from all over the world, because we feel a true love for food. Every day, we prepare dishes with the same passion that bring a smile to our guests’ faces – for us, it is not a job, it is a passion. That is why we last!
I am Ema Badžak, owner of Restaurant MM and director of MM d.o.o. Mostar. I have devoted more than 30 years to hospitality and tourism, and I find happiness in doing what I love, surrounded by people who share the same passion. From the very beginning, I have tried to preserve the authentic flavors of the food we grew up on and pass them on to new generations with equal love.
Looking back, I believe we succeeded. However, Restaurant MM is not just about traditional cuisine. We boldly explore new culinary horizons, combine experience and knowledge, and are always ready for new gastronomic challenges. Our guests recognize and appreciate this.

At the MM restaurant, we found a very large selection of local, vegan dishes, excellent and pleasant service, and all of that at very affordable prices.
I enjoy eating food that I know has been prepared with care and is made from locally grown, organic ingredients, which is what regularly draws me to the MM restaurant. Everything is delicious and tasty, and most importantly, everything is healthy.
The best place in Mostar to eat, a large selection of local dishes and daily specials really impressed me. Restaurant MM also offers modern dishes and it's great that I can try it all in one place.
